Beer question

We stayed at the Riu Caribe a couple weeks ago, absolutely loved it. Planning another trip in February. But the one thing my husband missed was a bud light, mich ultra or something similar. What all inclusive hotels serve those.

There are resorts that do but sometimes beer can change. They may have it one month and then it could change another month. We have had it at Live Aqua before. Have you tried Tecate Lite? It is actually quite good. Many resorts seem to carry that.

Valentin Imperial Maya has had Bud, Bud light, Coors Light, Dos XX lager and amber all of the last couple years and then there are also some other ones every once and a while.

I have read that Secrets resorts carry imported beers including Bud Light. I know for a fact that the Iberostar Grand Paraiso carries Budweiser and Bud Light.

Not sure I would ever pick a resort based on beer selection. If it is that big of a factor, you can either bring your own or stop by any store. Prices are similar or less than in the US.

You will find local beers from Superior and Corona way more often because it is much more cost effective to serve then imports. Plus getting imported products are very inconsistent. Sometimes the distributors or groceries have them sometimes they don't.

Bud, and especially BUD light are now being widely distributed thoughout Mexico as well as Heineken. Stella Artois is also starting to make its way into small beer stores and Michelob Ultra. Interestingly enough, Bud Light is much cheaper then in the USA. I get six packs for $3.60 no tax and stella for $5.

I would not pick a resort solely on their beer selection. But it would sway my decision if I found a resort I liked and it had my favorite drink!
