Is it possible to walk to any snorkeling areas from ship.
Sorry about the second post. The WiFi is bad here!😁
Yes, you will be docked in Santa Cruise. Short to the playa. At the far end is not bad snorkeling. If you have time grab a cab, short ride, to Playa La Entrega. Better snorkeling. You can rent equipment at both spots if necessary.
In the bay that the ship docks is a small beach. If you walk furthest away from the ship to the rocks you can do some snorkeling but it is not very good, just a few fish and next to no coral. You could take a very cheap taxi ride ( 5 min? ) to the main snorkel beach which would be much better.
ha ha Pedro you beat me in typing
Hey thank you for the quick response. We are in Puerta Chiapas today heading up there tonight!
Hey you guys know if any of these places rent a locker?😀
The last 3 restaurants closest to the snorkeling are good. You can leave your stuff inside ans the waiters will look after. Bring as little as you can. It is the second week of Easter break so there are lots of tourists in town.
Are you on the Nieuw or Oosterdam?Edited: 19 April 2017, 20:05
Oosterdam but we are traveling together w NA
Great, enjoy your visit. You are here til 5 (4 boarding?) so you would have time to go to La Entrega but it will be crazy busy there. Was just in Santa Cruz and its gonna be a busy one there today as well and til Sunday.
If you are going to stay on Playa Santa Cruz I recommend you go to Dona Ceila restaurant. Its the furthest from the ship and right where you would go in for snorkeling. Ask for Marco. His wife is the daughter of Dona Ceila. He is a great guy and will take care of you. He speaks English so he should be working the day shift tomorrow. Just tell BB y Pedro said to look after you.
All the best for the rest of your cruise.
Lockers on the beach? That's not really a "thing" in Huatulco but no one has ever messed with my things as long as I was at one of the beach front restaurants.
Obviously let common sense prevail and only bring what you think you will need. The waiters should keep an eye on your stuff while you swim or snorkel.
