Having been disappointed by our previous choices of airlines flying to Mexico, we decided to try Interjet this trip. What ended up being a very positive experience started with check in that was painless and extremely efficient. Since there is assigned seating they loaded the plane properly - starting with the rear of the plane and moving towards the front. The flight crew was dressed as flight crews use to be in attractive outfits that obviously hadn't been worn for days. Seating on the airplane is leather and seat spacing/seat pitch is what one would expect in Business Class on other carriers. There is a nose mounted camera which shows the view during takeoffs and landings and for the ladies, there is a dedicated restroom in the rear of the plane. Once in the air, the cabin attendants efficiently fire up the service where they provide FREE: snacks, pop, water, juices, beer, wine and cocktails. Interjet allows two checked bags weighing 55lbs each and 22lb of carry on luggage again for FREE!
To complete these positive experiences - our flights in each direction landed approx. 30 minutes early. The only "hiccup" to my plan was that due to a gate conflict, we had to unload to buses in Guadalajara and they accomplished this through the back of the plane. So we weren't one of the first off the plane for Immigration and Customs since i chose seats in the front of the plane. No big deal since they have really increased the efficiency of this portion at the airport in Guadalajara.
We would recommend this airline to anyone if their somewhat limited departure points in the US work into travel planning!
