Excursions & Activities at Breezes

Hi,

I am travelling to Breezes for my honeymoon from September 5 - 12. I was wondering if I could get some info on what off site excursions Breezes offers and also some info on the daily activities. My wife loves to sit on the beach all day and sip on adult beverages but I can only take some much of that so we will be doing both.

I have read the reviews and we are really looking forward to it. We have travelled extensively but do not need a five star resort. We just like a clean place, with good food and fun things to do. So that is why we chose Breezes. And the price was right.

Another thing is does anyone have an idea on what the minimums are at the two casinos on the island. I love to play blackjack, roulette and poker but am not a high roller.

Also, if anyone will be there during that time we could meet up for a drink.

Thanks in advance for all your help and I look forward to writing a review of my stay and being a regular contributor to tripadvisor.

Steve

Breezes has many daily activities. They have beach volley ball, bowling on the beach, golf on the beach, music trivia, a trapeze(limited hours that is open) rock climbing wall(also limited hours), sometimes they have silly beer drinking games, bingo. They print a sheet with all the activities on for that day and that is available in the lobby. Plus they write the activities on a board.

There is a tour desk in the lobby where you can arrange to swim with the dolphins, snorkel at Stuart's Cove, go to the zoo to see the marching flamingos, powerboat cruises. There are people walking the beach for parasailing, jet skis, booze cruise, etc.

The bus to Nassau stops right at Breezes driveway. It is the #10 bus and costs $1.00pp. Nassau is filled with lots to see.

The casino does have different limits for tables. You do not have to be a high roller to enjoy the action. If you plan on going to the casino on Cable Beach at night, check with security at the steps. There is a free bus to and from the casino, but I'm not sure of the hours it operates.

We have been to Breezes many times and I do not think you will be sorry that you chose to go there.

Enjoy the Bahamas and Breezes.

Hi Steve:

There is a desk in the reception area where you can book off-site excursions, they have lots of pamphlets and information sheets about those. However those excursions are not part of the all-inclusive package of the hotel.

What is included is most sports, such as tennis, beach volleyball, pool volleyball, windsurfing, waterskiing, rock wall climbing, bike tour, basketball, there is also a trapeze, etc.etc. Then there are different activities around the resort like beach olympics, crazy games, beach bowling, beach golf. They have general trivia, music trivia, bingo, and on and on. You get a list of all activities from the front desk every morning so if you don't see an excursion you are interested in you can just hang around the beach with your wife or go and participate in the stuff you are interested in. If you golf there is a course across the road - you get to pay for that !

In the evenings there is entertainment every night in the main entertainment area, there is a piano bar next to the buffet restaurant, there is a disco (with a comedy act on Thursday nights) next to the a la carte restaurants, the pool bar is - of course - by the pool and usually open until 9:00 pm.

Food and drinks are excellent. Most of the time there is just Kalik the Bahamian beer, but from time to time they have Bud and Bud Light. I have seen Johnny Walker Red, Crown Royal, Drambuie, Absolut, Cognac, etc.

We don't do tables at the casino but my husband says minimum at the Crystal Palace is $5 in the mornings, and increases as the day gets busier. There is a FREE shuttle to and from that casino, it picks up just a couple of minutes after the hour - from 7:00 to 12:00 midnight - and leaves the casino on the hour (he won't wait so be there on time - if you miss it you can walk it in 5 minutes and Cable Beach is pretty safe - I have done it alone when my husband went on the bus without me). You would need to take a cab to the casino at Atlantis - $17 plus tip each way I think.

If I have missed something let me know. Hope you enjoy yourselves.

I was typing such a long response and found my friend "Breezes Pleases" had jumped in there before mine was posted and gave you much the same info.

Either of us can help you if need be.

I think we were both typing long response at the same time, regkit. We both love the place, Steve. If your wife doesn't like playing the games, she will be happy with the selection of adult drinks that can be had at Breezes. Most of the bartenders have a special drink. Just tell them what you like.

If you do play games you have a chance to win tokens. You can turn the tokens in at the end of your stay and get Breezes items.
