Long Island Safety?

Long Island Safety?

I’ve seen the U.S. State Department’s report on the Bahamas and I was wondering if Long Island is considered safe? We’d be staying around Cape Santa Maria if we went. Basically, is violent crime commonplace on this island? Everything I’ve seen talks about Nassau, not the out islands.

It is considered safer as it is a much smaller place with about 3000 people who live on the island compared to like 250,000 on Nassau.
