Are there unusual delays either arriving or departing, compared to what they were before the hurricanes?
We encountered no delays on arrival or departure. Airport has been working hard to restore normal ops tempo, during peak hours, lines are expected but with fewer airlines servicing, our departure, on a Sunday, went smoothly. Note the infrastructure is still fragile so any minor technical glitch can result in back ups. Heed the three hour rule for arriving at the airport on day of departure.Edited: 11 December 2017, 18:46

They told us the airliner (American Air) will deliver our bags to the ferry dock at STJ (that’s where we are staying) sometime tomorrow. <sigh> I wonder if it’s just an AA thing. All our snorkel gear is in the checked in bags. We also have two car seats delayed too
I departed STT on Tuesday and encountered no delays through Customs or TSA. Most of the waiting area is now open but the Hibiscus Cafe remains closed. Their portable kiosks are open and you can buy sandwiches, salads, johnnycake, and drinks from them. There’s even a small bar open between Gates 3 & 4...
