Topless/Clothing Optional beaches in Montego Bay

Hi!

I am going to be staying at Secrets St James in January and was wondering if anyone knew of any topless or clothing optional beaches in the area. I'm not sure how popular this sort of thing is in Jamaica, or if it is frowned upon by locals.

Also if anyone has any ideas of what weather is like in January that would be great!

And/Or any other relevant advice or information you are willing to share.

Thanks so much!

Topless and clothing optional beaches are frowned upon by locals. However, they are common in Jamaica, mainly at the larger all inclusive resorts. In Montego Bay itself they are mainly available at the Sunset Beach Resort located next to Secrets St. James and on a small island just off from (and part of) Sandals Royal Caribbean. These two beaches are available only to guests of the two resorts. A small amount of topless beach use may be on occasion be seen at other locations in Mo Bay (but is not common). The majority of co/topless beach use will be found in Negril and at resorts located on the north shore east of Mo Bay

You can buy day passes to SRC, not sure what the price is, but yeah it's definately frowned upon. I would assume that you could also buy a day pass to Sunset Beach, and as the vinnie said, it's more common in the Negril area .

How was your trip? We are going mid-february and can't wait. Did you find clothing optional or at least the ability to wear a skimpish bikini?
