Heading to PC Oct 2- from the US. Unvaccinated, do we or do we not need Covid test before departure? Do we need to fill out additional forms?

Thank you so much

You do not need a test before going but as unvaxed, you could be subject to random testing on arrival at the airport.

I believe when you fill out the e ticket and put in no vaccinations you will then be flagged for definite temp check and possible quick covid test before being allowed through customs. The DR has updated all of these entry policies to protect their own people as well as stop covid before it gets in. On exit and you do the astrogen test if you are positive you will be required to quarantine and retest to leave the DR.

Saying all that I believe your best bet would be to do a pcr test 72 hours before boarding for dr and that gains you some better entry options.

Am I understanding that americans don't have to be vaccinated to get on a flight?

As of now, no, just the Antigen test to return home, no vaccination.

On 11/1, not only will we have to take the Antigen test 72 hours prior to departure, but we will also have to be vaccinated.

US Citizens that are not vaccinated will have to be tested 1 day prior and have proof of purchase of PCR test to take at home.

IMO, if you are not vaxed, you shouldn't have your butt on any plane in the US Domestic or International.

@wgride....This is our second trip since Covid. Required or not, we take an At Home Antigen called Binox Now.
