Well, first of all, before you get too excited, do you have a work permit or have been assured that you will get one?

Transportation system is good, electricity is very expensive so is general cost of living. someone else may be able to help you with actual costs.

You may find this thread deleted soon as it's not really travel related.

As noted above...your prospective employer must apply for and justify your employment to qualify for a Work Permit in Bermuda. And as noted, Bermuda is generally considered to be an EXPENSIVE place for ex-pats to live and work...high rents, food costs, utility costs, et al....all EXPENSIVE. Even without any income taxes, what may appear to some as a '..living wage..' elsewhere may not stretch nearly as far as expected in Bermuda.

One of the things that ex-pats often complain of is the relatively isolated location of tiny Bermuda (approx. 21 square miles of landmass...approx. 21 miles from end-to-end...no more than 3-4 miles from shore-to-shore) The only way on or off '..The Rock..' will by via air. So, getting away for a week-end or a few days for a change of scenery isn't exactly like hopping into you car to take a drive or hopping onto a train for a change of pace.

I'd suggest that you check some of the varied ex-pat sites for more information and insight on Cost of Living in Bermuda.....and perhaps some of this (among many other sources) my be some help in beginning your research--
