Self tour of the Island - Map?

Hiya Guys!

Planning to do a self tour trip of the island.

Gonna hire a Jeep....can everything be done in one day? Also does anyone have a map so we know how to get to the main visitor sites?

Is a self tour generally a good idea? Is it safe?!

Thanks guys! x

Aruba is a safe island to go exploring on your own. We rent a car every year, know our way around the island fairly well, and still managed to get lost on occasion! LOL!! But have the fun of exploring is getting lost and Aruba is a small enough island that you never stay lost for very long.

Yes, you can see most sights within a day if you start early.

If you plan on staying at some of the sites, I would say that you could not do it all in one day unless you hurried along. We took a map that was in our package we recieved at the airport and just went for it. Yes we did get lost once in a while, but the people are so nice, they are happy to help with directions. And then you get the feel of the Island and it's people. And of course if you follow the divi trees the way they are wind blown, they will bring you right to the hotels. The main roads are really well marked. The Island is not that big, and you really can't get lost for very long.
