Holiday Inn changes

Has anyone heard what changes if any are coming to Holiday Inn? They were having a big corporate meeting the day we left and were wondering if anyone heard what came out of it.

Much talk of the Casino being refurbished/renovated sometime in September.

I am still unsure if September is etched in stone.

As for the usual Holiday Inn/Marriott rumors............it has been talked about for years and it has been all talk/rumor.

So we wait it out.

The first two buildings on the playa linda side will be a new AI. The Building next to the marriott will be renovated and will stay the HI. Will stay the same owner.

I’m planning our first Aruba trip for May staying at Holiday Inn. I’m not familiar where the buildings are. I have an oceanfront room and was going to request Sea Tower - is this going to be affected?

We are staying there for our first family trip in November. Will there be any changes or renovations going on there at that time? I believe we are staying in the Sea Tower.

The Sea Tower is the closest Tower to the Marriott.

Sea Tower is what I always request if for no other reason than the staff uses the elevators way too much and they take an inordinate amount of time to get to your floor. For some reason the sea tower doesnt have that problem. However it is also the farthest from the lobby/registration area if that matters to you. It is quieter there, same building that houses the gym and spa

Thanks for the info, being farther away from lobby doesn't matter to me. Our last time to aruba was just my husband and I, 21 years ago and we stayed at the Divi Divi with another couple. We are taking our 3 kids with us this time around but they are older teens. We choose the HI because it was budget friendly for a family of 5. We are looking forward to seeing all the changes since our last trip. Any other recommendations or suggestions on things to do or places to go, restaurants or excursions, please fee free to post.
