We are looking at going to Larnaca area in March 2014 just 2 adults. Could you recommend this and what would the weather be like. We dont mind it being quiet
March can be unpredictable. We have been to Cyprus in mid to late March and had good weather apart from a heavy shower on the night of arrival. The weather was warm enough to sit outside to eat breakfast and to lay in the sun by day. It was ideal weather for sight seeing. It is still quite chilly in the evenings though.
Larnaca is a normal working town so although not so many tourists at that time of year their will be locals.
Hi, If you stay in the town centre there will be lots of people about not only locals either there are always various cruise ships calling in at the port,Larnaca prom is always buzzing. are you staying in Mazotos it is around ten minutes from the airport it will be quieter there as with pervolia you could visit nearby kiti.spring is a good time to visit cyprus it is so pretty esp in rural areas.I will be in Larnaca at the end of april I think it will be busy because of the easter holidays trade perks up around then. you may even get to do the free tour around the villages run by the tourist board on a saturday morning until the end of march.hotels such as livadhiotis in the town square are often fully booked they get a lot of international tourists.Julie
Unpredictable weather for sure. If you stay in Mazotos you'd propably need a car to move around easily. If you do so, then the spot would be great as it is centrally located on a map, meaning than within 1.5 hrs you could be at Ayia Napa, Troodos or Paphos ( these are the remote areas, you could also be in Limassol in 40-50 min and Larnaca town in 15-20).
