Can anyone tell me what the beach at the Mantra Sakala Resort is like for swimming
Not the best & not the worst.
We stay at the Novotel, just a few 100 metres down the road. The water is relatively clean as is the beach as it is swept daily for rubbish and seaweed.
Up near the Sakala, you will be in amongst all the water sport activities.
A few kms south is Geger Beach, a much nicer beach for sunbathing and swimming.
Also pantai mengiat is good for swimming down at nusa dua. Has a decent Warung that rents chairs an umbrellas
As with all beaches, this will depend on the time of year.
For the most part ,since we started staying at Tanjung Benoa in 1998, we have always been able to swim in the sea during our stays. The weather and tide swell are the biggest factors in our decisions over whether to swim during the monsoon season.
The beaches along Tanjung Benoa are golden sand, not the grey or black sand you find in other areas, and protected by an outer reef that tends to keep things calmer.
Thank you all for replies They have been helpful
