Conrad Resort - renovations

Hi,

Considering booking a suite at the Conrad Hotel with our children in July. Seems like major renovations are going on there with Centre pool and lagoon pools closed and Suki Restaurant and Eight Degrees South closed until August. Has anyone stayed there while this is going on? Would love to know if it was ok to still stay there.

Thanks

Hi, we reserved our honeymoon to June to stay at Conrad, but our agent informed us about the renovation. She advised to change it, so we decided to stay at Westin.

I stayed at Conrad last April for a few nights . Hotel renovation did not affect us at all. We ate in the RIN and Spice restaurant .

Just back from Conrad last week. For guests staying in the suites there are only very minor disruptions from renovation work itself. E.g. children used not to be allowed in the suites pool, but with main pool closed families/kids were using the suites pool. Not a problem unless parents didn't control their kids. Adult suites guests can also use the spa pool, which is smaller but lovely. A restful outdoor area in Jiwa spa - pool is infinity type. It's built on a higher floor so you don't see it from ground level. Suites guests have breakfast in RIN which is very close by. Staff are very attentive. Spice restaurant is open for dinner/lunch etc. Suites guests may also have nightly drinks/nibbles in the Suites Lounge (optional extra I think). Overall our stay in the suites was lovely. The hotel really needs this renovation and the staff are as welcoming as ever.
