Chuquiragua Lodge

I stayed in this great place one week ago. It is a cozy guest house located right on the vicinity of the foothills of the Illiniza volcanoes. It is only 40 min from Cotopaxi National Park.

Great staff, Marco is big help when it comes to do horseback riding and just getting you a tour to Illinizas peaks or anything. He is an indigenous guide of the region, His wife is in charge of the cooking, they have a great "campestre" breakfast, lunch and dinner including a great variety of homemade meals with local ingredients.

When the fire place is on, the smell gets mixed with the eucalyptus wood fragance and the ambiance inside of the house just takes you back in time. The Andean views of the Cordillera from the upper rooms are beautiful.

The owner is Angie, a hard working lady who takes care of clients like they would be her own children.

Its price is very affordable and they can include a Transfer in/out from/to Quito, which is 50 minutes from the property.

This place comes higgly recommended.

Saludos cordiales,

Dennis Yepez

How can we get more information about this Lodge? Do they have a website, photos, phone? I can't seem to locate any information about them. Sounds like a lovely place to stay and we are interested in finding out more. Thanks,
