travelling with a toddler - questions about our stay in AG

Hello!

We are travelling with our toddler to Agios Gordios in a few weeks and we would like to ask a few questions please:

1. we like to pack light if possible - does anyone know if any of the small supermarkets in Agios Gordios sell pull up nappies? Would like to avoid half a suitcase full!

2. we heard that most of the hotels don't mind you using their pools if you have a coffee or stay for lunch or something - is this right? If so, which ones are the best for kids?

3. a friend recommended a day trip to Albania as an excellent day out - does anyone have an opinion of whether this would be do-able with a toddler in tow?

4. if we want to explore some of the island, could we do it by bus? or is a car rental the better option?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi,

Yes, the supermarkets in Ag will have nappies. There are at least half a dozen to choose from.

The pool thing is right. Sea Breeze have a nice pool on the beach front.

Not sure about Albania....but there are other boat trips on offer. You have to get a coach to the ports on the other side of the island, but you can book all this with the travel agents in the village. Pop in and have a chat with them, they're very helpful. We have used Sinarades for trips and car rental. They are on the main street.

I would recommend a car. There are so many great places to visit and it is just so much easier with a little one in tow. The west side of the island is fairly quiet to drive around, it gets busier on the east coast and the closer you get to Corfu town.

Where are you staying?

You'll love the resort it is gorgeous.

Ah well, you'll get a good deal from him with regards to hiring a car!

You'll get to walk through the village on the way to the beach, you'll pass Sebastian's taverna which is beautiful and serves lovely food. Then Madison Garden which is a great place to have a pre dinner cocktail or after dinner posh coffee. Super friendly owners. Then all along the boardwalk at the beach are so many fantastic restaurants. My favs are Sea Breeze, Thalassa, To Ortholithi but they're all lovely. Go as the sun goes down - the sunsets are so beautiful. You will have a fantastic time.
