First -timer to AG. A few questions...

Looking to go last week in May so can you good people tell if most places will be open then and what's the weather like? Also is anywhere to go for a decent gyros?

Is there enough bars for a good night. Cheers all.

It's about 8 years since I have been but this might give you an idea of the scenery

End of May/beginning of June is my favourite time for weather - maybe upper 20s, warm but not too hot. The sea is a bit cold though. If you're unlucky you'll get some rain, but probably not a lot. I think there's a few bars, so should be fine.

we had a gyros for lunch from the small cafe at the bottom of the main street ( on the left ) and they were very good and only cost a couple euros. You'll also find all the restaurants on the beach do great food and you'll be spoilt for choice.

Hi all, going to AG shortly, wondering if there are many supermarkets and how close they will be to our accommodation Dinas Paradise? Also is there cash line machine in the village?

Yes there are several supermarkets along the main road through the village. There is a small path near Dina's which takes you to this road. She will show you where it is. It's about a 5 minute walk down but back up takes longer! The steep walk up to Dina's will certainly keep you fit! We stayed there a few years ago, the view from the accommodation is incredible. You'll love it.

Oh, forgot to say, there were two cash points last year, both on the main road through. You can't miss them. It's a very compact little village. PS Make sure you go to Madison Garden, lovely people and gorgeous cocktails.

We loved the Alo Bar for Gyros. It's at the end of the beach - the opposite end to the Hotel Aghios Gordios and the Gyros were some of the best I've tasted. He does one with Halloumi which is really tasty.
