Nainital is a vibrant bustling place, and picturesque, but more than a day there would drive me mad. I would stop off there for a night, but be in Binsar by the following night, and stay there until its time to go home.

The Binsar retreat is a very nice haven, inside the wildlife sanctuary, and is the perfect place to sit, and look down on the world below, or walk right up to the top of the world for that matter.

Its an absolute delight for naturalists !

Binsar Retreat (http://www.thebinsarretreat.com/ ) and the Nanda Devi Estate (http://www.nandadevi.in/) are the best places to stay in Binsar depending on your budget

We stayed at Khali Estate in Binsar and liked it. Why don't you do Ranikhet instead of Nainital? It is much nicer.
