Palmcrest holiday homes Colva Goa

Exteriors of most rental units still very shabby.Pool being well maintained. No security at time of posting.

Restaurant closed.Garbage is being stored behind the restaurant at the east end of the compound.Rental units in the area get the full benefit of the wet waste storage smell.Think about this before renting or paying deposits.A visit to the site is advised before renting.Good value rentals available on site.Web postings mostly overpriced.

March 2011.

Things are improving in Palmcrest. Some owners(few at the time of posting) Are doing exterior & interior upgrades. It makes the site far more attractive to propective renters.Pity so many of the owners don't get it This is a complex seriously in need of maintenance. The well maintained units are easy to spot.Check them out first..The pool restaurant is still closed .We can only hope!!

This is a perfect location to rent in Colva but unfortunately too many of the unit owners just don't care.It just drag's the whole complex down.Best advise is to come on to the site & look around.Talk to the residents & at all costs avoid web posting agents. It is a great, friendly community & reasonabley priced units are available all the time.

Mid November 2011.

The pool at Palmcrest is reported full but dirty. This could be a repeat of the poor pool maintenance problems of last season,Check with the rental unit owner about the pool condition before paying rental deposits. There have been staff reductions on the site.

The garbage storage on site would qualify as a serious health hazard to any health authority & should be removed immediatly. .It is disgusting, overflowing, rat infested & stinking. It is now spilling out into the entrance roadway to the complex. What a turnoff for new arrivals. Some very serious site neglect issues this season.

Palmcrest has almost bottomed out on the places to stay in Colva. Site maintenance is at an all time low,the pool has been unfit to swim in for three months & most of the site stinks rotting. of garbage.Gardening, site cleaning & security are at a minimum. Many long time tenants have given up hope for improvement & moved to better managed & more sanitary complexes.

Things have improved a little. The pool is being cleaned again & there is an extra gardener on site.Garbage removal was paid for recently by a resident non

owner out of frustration with the situation. It will not take long for the bins & garbage storage area to be overflowing again.Very unpleasent for residents.

The complex management society is dead in the water.Time for a change.

The money collected from flat owners is not being released for proper preventitave maintenance & proper site cleaning.

Pool condition update:

We have lost the pool again. It is now pea green. It is always possable it is being prepared for Saint Patricks day on March 17th. It is most unlikely it will recover in the near future. Too bad, it almost looked like somebody cared for a while there, The problem is all in improper water treatment.

Palmcrest continues its race to the bottom. This the pool is empty & the site manager cannot say if or when it will be running again. Many of the regular forign guests have given up on the complex & moved on.The pool was the community center & without it the complex has lost its attraction.Colva offers many reasonably priced options nowdays without the complex political issues that have plagued Palm Crest since a new management structure was put in place a couple of years ago. This is sad because Palm Crest was a great little community to stay in.The same community returned year after year to their winter home to enjoy each others company.Too bad the management group did not appreciate the value of their regular customers.
