Bus service to Chania

What is the bus service from Ag Marina to Chania like? I found a link to a timetable but they only give timetables for a few weeks in advance (we're going there May 17th). Are these timetables reliable and how do you figure out what time the bus to Chania reaches Ag Marina?

Bus service is regular and the buses comfortable.

We go in May but have never worked out what time they leave Aghia Marina but have never waited more than 10 minutes, maybe just been lucky.

We check with the desk at the bus station when we are coming back. Look for the route to Platanias and Gerani.

Take note the people don't queue but just pile on through both doors!

Yes, there was no queue, just a big pile of tourists rushing in to fill the bus.

In case the bus back is too full, and you do not want to hope for a space on the next, the taxi back from the Chania bus station to Agia Marina was 14 EUR, and much more comfortable. :)
