Golfing in Spain

Me and a few other lads are planning a golfing stag d.

We are quite keen golfers and looking for the best places to play in Spain where it is quite a lively area too...

Any suggestions? On site golf course if possible with a few bars a few minutes walk away etc?

Thanks in advance for help.

The area around marbella has a ton of good golf. Also, you can play valderrama which is one of the greatest golf courses that I have ever played.

Have a look at Cabo Roig, loads of bars, restaurants etc and close to about 30 golf courses. Some great value apartments which are dead central and you can book as an inclusive package with tee times, transfers etc. Look at Costa Calida Golf Tours www.ccgt.co.uk for fantastic value packages and also to check out the accom on offer. They also offer on course packages which are good value also but can sometimes be isolated from the real nightlife.

Hope that helps.

I agree with Greg - Valderrama is great.

You could also try Mijas Golf (nearest airport Malaga), weather perfect most of the time

Not too hectic and loads of accommodation nearby, we found a friendly apartment at http://mijasgolfaccommodation.com/ but there are loads around the area and on the course itself.

The people were lovely, a good mix of British and Swedes. It was pretty busy when we went in August but good temperaments all round.
