Transportation from Chicago, IL to Sheridan, IL

I am looking to find the best and quickest way to get from the train station to Sheridan, IL.

If you have any suggestions as to which bus/train or if there is a different way of getting to Sheridan, we would appreciate your help.

Thank you,

Sheridan is a small farming community out in LaSalle County so it won't have a lot of transportation options available. It's about 25 miles past the last stop on the commuter line (Aurora). Your best bet will be to rent a car at Union Station. Hertz Rental Cars has an in station desk and cars parked across the street. (Hertz is the only rental car at Union Station). Try posting on the Chicago forum. Perhaps somebody there will have other ideas for you.

Are you talking Sheridan, IL. Ft Sheridan, IL or Sheridan Road? If it's Sheridan, the previous post is correct. However, if it's Ft Sheridan, that's located in Highland Park, a suburb north of Chicago and the RTA (commuter rail) runs regularly scheduled service there from the Ogilvie Transportaion Center near Union Station. If it's Sheridan Road, the CTA runs regular bus/subway service. See the following link to plan your trip if it's Ft Sheridan or Sheridan Road: http://tripsweb.rtachicago.com/
