2018 FIFA World Cup - Russia

Congratulations to Germany, winner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

This is the first time a European nation has won the tournament when hosted in South America. It was a great tournament with many memorable moments. However, it is time we shift our attention to Russia and 2018.

Anyone putting the tournament on your calendar, considering attending the next FIFA World Cup tournament in 4 years time?

Lets just hope the Russian visa process is greatly simplified before the World Cup. This could be a headache for those seeking to stay for several weeks to watch games but unsure of where their teams might be playing.

According to the Moscow Times (see links) visa free travel to Russia for World Cup 2018... This is huge!

In a move to make Russia's newly modernized football infrastructure foreign-traveler friendly, President Vladimir Putin announced on Friday that fans will be able to travel to Russia before and during the 2018 World Cup visa free, ITAR-Tass reported.
