Forum Glitches on .com - Anyone Else?

Hi all,

I seem to have problems with accessing forums on TA .com

Each time I click either on a destination forum or on the thread from my contribution page, I'm being brought back to the list of forums instead. And if I click on the specific region (Europe, Middle East etc), I do not see any country list there.

Nothing of the kind on co.uk that I'm posting this through.

Anyone else, please?

Hi all,

We did have a forums technical glitch earlier this morning but we are told it is fixed. This is not planned site maintenance.

Can you confirm if you are still seeing issues as of when I am writing this post?

Some disgruntled hotel owners who are sick of TA reviews got together and did something to their servers. Beware the power of the hotel owners LOL

My uneducated guess is that some of the style sheets and issues with javascript are causing this where you can see stuff in IE but not FF

Hi Jeanine,

I still experience the same problems on .com that I reported in my OP.

Cleared my history, and still cannot access Alberta forum on .ca using FF; I get shunted to the forum home page instead. I'm using the saved bookmark

tripadvisor.ca/ShowForum-g154909-i219-Albert…

IE still works as intended, however.

Hi Jeanine - I have a slightly different problem.

I can access .com just fine, but when I was in my email and clicked on the TA notification to go to a thread, it took me to the main forum home page ( http://www.tripadvisor.com/ForumHome ) and everything on the right was gone except for the "See All".

I tried on several different notices and that was about 12:30 pm EST.

Tough to comment on ongoing threads when I have to jot down the title and then go to the forums to find it, LOL ;-)

Thanks....

I have it, too, half-Brit - in addition to what I reported in the OP.

Basically any attempt to reach a particular thread (via e-mail, contribution, or cashed link) is useless - I'm being brought to the Forum index page.

Same here CW when using FF access to forums takes you to the TA home page but IE is working as normal.
