I have been receiving calls for over a week from many different #s stating it was someone from TripAdvisor asking if I could hear them OK and then they hang up. I block the # and then receive another call from a different #. The caller ID is showing they are all Worchester, MA.

No one from TA is calling you, despite what they claim, and they have probably spoofed the number they appear to be calling from to hide their true identity and location.

I don't know if there's anything you can do, sorry.

What kind of phone do you have?

There are different methods for cellular and land lines. Unfortunately no universal method.

In the UK we have a site called "Who called me"

This gives info about scammers who call you, simply type in the number that called you.

Do you have similar?

Hi jcaetans,

Very sorry about this- we've heard other reports like this recently, and the calls are in no way affiliated with TripAdvisor. I'll pass these details on so our team can have more examples.

Thanks so much, and again, very sorry for the inconvenience.

These days I am getting spam calls a lot. If I don't recognize the number then I won't answer it and push it to voice mail. If someone legitimately wants to get in touch with me then they will leave a message and I can call them back. If they are a scammer then they won't be getting any "yes" sounds from me!
