Restaurant not showing correct location

Home Town, a super new little restaurant in Rosebank Cape Town, is not showing up under Rosebank, but only under Western Cape. How do we get it to show up when people search for restaurants in Rosebank ? (The address is correct.)

What if I notice a review on the site that isn't in the right place?

TripAdvisor Support - 07 January 2016 22:05

With more and more businesses and points of interest being added to TripAdvisor on a daily basis, we understand that a reviewer may inadvertently submit their review to the wrong location. When this happens you can let our moderators know by following a few quick steps:

Locate the flag in the bottom-right of the review and click 'Report.'

In the box that appears, click 'Review posted to wrong location.'

If you know where the review belongs, click 'Yes' and let us know the name of the correct place. If you don't know where it belongs or are unsure, you can select 'No' and explain why you believe so.

Our moderators look into every reported review and will be sure to make any necessary changes. If the review in question is your own review, please follow these instructions

Thank you for your reply. However in this case it is not the review that has been posted to the wrong location, but the restaurant. It should be showing up as one of 14 restaurants in Rosebank. Instead it's only showing up as one of 4000 restaurants in the Western Cape.

First make sure the address as written goes to the right location on google maps. Tweak as needed. Once you get google maps pointing to the right location, use that same written address in TripAdvisor.

Have the owner of the restaurant make the changes through the Management Console and manually move the map pointer as needed.

Jaybru ~

There is now a Rosebank Forum, Cape Town. Link is here:

And the Home Town Restaurant has been moved down to it so that it is no longer stuck at the Western Cape Forum level.

Fraiche Ayre is also in Rosebank. But the other thirteen are in Jo'burg and will be moved at some point. There is only a Jo'burg Forum, not a Rosebank Forum, Jo'burg. Your request on your other thread to separate the Rosebanks will be unnecessary.

While an owner can report an incorrect map pin, as suggested above by Alan P, you don't need to contact the owner to report it. Members can also submit reports of incorrect locations. I've submitted many and if we do it correctly, they get fixed.

If you need instructions as to how members can report and incorrectly placed business, do post back.

Thanks MuftiVancouver for your help. And Alan P, the pin location is correct. Thanks for your response.
