What you will do with the points earned? Is there any redemption option?

No. They are absolutely useless and are supposed to be for fun, along with the kindergarten badges being awarded.

Hi Mohanarangan;

For future reference, the “TripAdvisor Support” forum is available for general questions and assistance using the TripAdvisor site.

The points are pointless.

They are meaningless, have absolutely no value, are worth less than the gold star you got in grade school, and as useful as a chocolate teapot.

They are only intended as an incentive to contribute more content to the site and to provide self gratification and positive affirmation...for those who need it.

They can NOT be used for, traded for, or exchanged for, anything - anywhere. They DO NOT earn you points toward airline miles or any other travel partnerships associated with TripAdvisor.
