I have just booked flights with Easy jet after the Monarch collapse, can someone tell me if easy jet fights only are protected by Atol.
Have you looked for this info on the airline website?
If you booked flights only, no. If you have booked a packaged holiday, yes. ATOL was set up to underpin holidays, not travelling.
Easyjet is a constituent of the FTSE-100 and makes nearly half a billion pounds a year profit, as far as one say this about any airline, I would not be concerned.
I'm talking rubbish, Easyjet flights are ATOL protected as well as packages.

ATOL was set up to underpin holidays, not travelling.
Not sure what this means but you can get Flight only ATOL's and Easyjet flights are ATOL protected. If you paid by credit card you are also protected under Section 75 of the CCA.
But as far as I can see that quote appears only on the Easyjet holidays site?
Item 28 of Easyjet’s T&Cs for flights reads:
A Booking is not covered by any scheme of financial protection and You should ensure that You have adequate insurance cover for Your entire travel, including to cover the value of Your Baggage (including its contents).
Atol was set up to underpin package holidays, nothing else. Flights booked direct with an airline still aren't Atol protected by airlines because they don't hold Atols. Atol protection was extended a few years and flight plus and flight only Atols were introduced. It used to be you only needed one to sell packages, but it became that any agent selling a flight plus had to hold an Atol, which is most of them. Flight only booked via them is protected by their Atol as a flight only sale. It is not protected by the airline.
"Easyjet flights are not Atol protected. The airline doesn't hold an Atol. Anything booked on"
So their page is lying then? because they say they are :-/
Apologies - ATOL applies to Easyjet holidays not just flights:
However flight only ATOL (booked through agents) does apply (if you booked via an ATOL agent) and the credit card point does still apply.
