Impressed by the wide variety of options in both the food and the bar menus. Plus we felt special to be served by Papori who explained the dishes very well and suggested the food we simply loved. The food is delectable, the serving size is substantial, and Papori's service was par excellence.
The restaurant at the Metropolis Tourist Home on Pahar Ganj was one of my favourite places to eat n Delhi. I went there yesterday (27 September 2022) expecting to enjoy a wonderful lunch on the rooftop - but to my surprise and horror, I discovered it is closed. The hotel sign boards are down, and it looks as if it has been shut for some time.
This is a great little place for good food from breakfast to diner. Open from early 7am to late 11:00 We had a Butter chicken and a tandoori chicken on the first night with a tandoori mix and tikka masala on the next. Breakfast was eggs and toast. Great quality and great prices. You will see all nationalities here including locals. They have good food and everyone appreciates it.
The brown bread bakery is located in the Ajay guest house in main bazar road, Paharganj, New Delhi They are serving very good food: indian & european. The profit supports the learn for life project in Varanasi. Especially the breakfast with fresh bread was recommendable and I would recommend everyone to visit this restaurant!
Very average food and terrible service . My husband ate chicken korma which was swimming in oil. The breakfasts are ok but I have had to lower my expectations after 5 days in Delhi. Hard to find delicious food
This restaurant is a lovely place to eat. The food is fresh, they have good cakes and pastries and an extensive menu of other dishes, including some Indian, Mexican and Western. The service is really good, the people working there are very efficient and friendly. It is a really pleasant place to sit for a while, very laid back. Good variety of breakfast choices, large servings and not expensive.
Basic cafe set up on the main bizarre in PahaGang. Doesnt look much from the outside like a few other places nearby but this place is the best of the lot. ive tried so i know. its not just thats its better than the rest, its very good. food takes a little while, but thats OK as you can watch the assorted crowds file by and then your freshly cooked food will arrive. basic ordering system of writing your own foods down means no mistakes on the bill too. friendly owner speaks very good English and there is a good choice on the menu and the prices are very reasonable.
Its a roof top open restaurant, located in the heart of densely populated paharganj (near New Delhi Railway Station) without the facility of air conditioning system, parking and lift/elevator. The food served wasn't extraordinarily good but triable and affordable. The restaurant doesn't serve any alcoholic drink other than beer and we ordered italian food (which was below our expectations). Families are uncommon to this place but exceptions could be there.
Got recommended by a local and it was always busy. Had the dosas which were a great size at 60-80R and returned for the banana chocolate dosa the next day. Quick service and well located. Nothing to complain about!
We ate at Sam’s a couple of times and enjoyed the authentic Indian food. A bit dark and dingy unless you can score the seats at the window for a view of the street. Great staff.
I entered and was joyed, the flooring is spectacular, so is the decor, the seating and the color coordinated hangings. I felt as I was in Morocco, the tsunami of beautiful colors transported me to another world. Though the location is slightly off, once you reach and park yourself at the restaurant, you have nothing to regret. The food, the service, everything is just perfect. I had a great time celebrating my nephews birthday there. The staff is excellent too.
I went this restaurant with my Thai group and they serve hot and delicious thai food. all guest are very happy to find good thai food taste in India.
We reached this restaurant by chance the first time but we repeated because they were attentive with us and made us recommendations. Every dish that we tried was delicious and big enough to be full.
I've been here many times over the past 2month and feel comfortable. Good food, friendly owner. Excellent information for traveler. They also have pretty good wifi. finally i recommend Japchae Bap.
This place is really picking up for tasty and delicious Amritsari Naans with Chhole and Aaloo Bhaaji. One must try to experience the taste. Governor Amolak Rattan Kohli
Magic Pot is a must try place for everyone visiting the area. have some food and enjoy the ambiance.
Arrived early at 6pm. Somewhat unpleasant start with a loud band singing karaoke style for a birthday party. But, to his credit, the manager realised it was too much and stopped the music. Large selection of food (Western and Asian) which was all very nice. Would prefer the meat to be deboned, but that is a personal thing. Excellent service and reasonable prices. Nice decor, but would have preferred some music instead of the TV for background noise. Somewhat lax attitude to enforcing the no smoking. I hate a smokey restaurant, but this was bearable. Would return to try more of the curries. No naan and no dessert available, which was disappointing.
I visited over a few days at the end of July, 2011 and found Leya's cafe down a quiet alley in the middle of Pahar Ganj, just behind the Vivek Hotel. Its a cool, comfortable space away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The owners are polite and friendly, the food is delicious and affordable, the music chill and the free wifi was excellent. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Delhi.
