We visited Clearview Estate on our recent trip to Napier and I enjoyed the experience. At some wineries, the tasting session is quite formal and the tenders pay little attention to you, but here, it was quite the opposite. Jim was friendly and attentive and told of his own travel experiences while he poured me a variety of lovely wines... More

We went for wine tasting and lunch on a rainy day and sat outside under cover with a lovely view of the Old Olive Block Vineyard where our glass of wine with lunch was from. Our shared quinoa salad dish was very nice. My crab slider was beautifully presented but crab flavour I had to think about. A nice relaxed... More

We stopped by the restaurant after out Gannet Tour and enjoyed a pleasant, cool, and fresh lunch in the protected outdoor dinning area. Great wine, of course, which we had already been drinking during the rest of our trip. The waitress was new but had a supervisor who was able to answer more in-depth questions. She was also nice enough... More

A group of us dined here Waitangi weekend. It was hot and sunny and so pleasant to dine under the large awning outside. We whiled away over 3 hours here for lunch and felt no pressure to leave from the friendly staff. There were 10 of us dining and we all ordered various things. Not one of us was unhappy... More

We went on a Tuesday and the food didn't feel fresh. I thought perhaps it was leftovers from the long weekend. I had the calamari which was chewy, the tiramisu was custard with two savoridi biscuits shoved in the glass. The bread was fabulous however as it was freshly baked. Overall we had, 1 starter, 1 light lunch, 1 main... More

What a fantastic experience! We were really looked after by Jim and Michelle. I loved every wine we tried which is rare for wine tasting. Jim's got a wealth of knowledge and is a friendly and down to earth guy. He deserves a pay rise and a promotion. I actually want to be his friend now. Hit me up Jim... More

We ate here twice in January..... need to book ahead as it is really busy. Great food, the fish of the day is great, so is the Crab Sliders. The chips are great too. Have some wine tasting too, so professional and great chardonnay and rose.

We mostly chose clearview because they had a great kids menu and a really good play area. It was very hot when we were there, but plenty of shade available outside. I struggled to find something I really wanted on the menu as I don't eat red meat or seafood, but my salad was ok. My 7 year old was... More

Our second visit within three months, and we don't need to look at the menu - we always have the platter and a bottle of Reserve Chardonnay. On a lovely summer's day, there is no better way to enjoy a couple of hours over lunch. Service is friendly and the food and wine great. We love the location and atmosphere,... More
