Bay Street Grill and Pasta has remained unchanged for the past 16 years when I have dined annually. The location is exceptionally convenient; service is attentive; quality of fare and beverages is routine and unvaried over this period. A great opportunity for a restaurant makeover.

Next door to the Brighton Bay cinema, this place is good value. The food is not bad and the service quick and friendly, but not overbearing. Prices are reasonable. Entrees are large enough to have as a main, especially if coupled with one of the nice desserts. The wine list, although not large, provides some good choices and covers all... More

Located next door to the Palace cinemas making dining before or after a movie very convenient. Food isn't gourmet however we both enjoyed our choices and the price was very reasonable. A main course and glass of wine each cost under $50 and we were both satiated. Good selection of wines by the glass at around $8 each too.

We've been before, convenient location to cinema and bus stop. Food as usual was good, service OK, timely. Two things i didn't like : the waitress calling my wife and I "Guys" all the time and saying "There you go" with every delivery of menu/food/drinks etc; and, Indian Myna birds wandering in and out at will pecking crumbs all round... We were not very hungry, but on a cold afternoon we did enjoy a coffee and a sandwich each, one salad and the other toasted. The location was great, right by the bus stop (multiple routes) and not far from the station on the edge of the shopping centre.

We had been to this place a few times years ago. Its been updated when the Palace Cinema next door was upgraded some years ago. So, after a morning movie today, we had lunch there. Same people run it, food was budget but great, wine by the glass reasonable. Not busy at lunch time, good service, and we will go... More

I booked a table for 6 for a Sunday night and I must admit I had misgivings as the place doesn't have that much atmosphere or street appeal However, don't let the outside put you off. If you want good wholesome authentic Italian food then this is the place to come. We noticed that just about all of the patrons... More

A very nice and relaxed restaurant right next door to the Palace theatres. Our 4 meals were of high quality and well presented including a large and tasty paella, risotto, a lovely chicken Caesar salad and excellent filet steak and the best Tiramisu in a long while. The staff were very helpful and available. We visited early on a Sunday evening.

I like many things about Bay Street Grill and Pasta. The food is consistently good, and my favourite is the Pollo (Chicken) Marsala (note - this is the Italian Marsala, not to be confused with the Indian spice Masala). It is always served with a good selection of steaming hot vegetables (including roasted potatoes). The Tiramisu is a lovely dessert.... More

My wife and I Had dinner after the movies. Delicious minestrone soup and it was a generous large serve followed by prawn risotto and a mango prawn salad. Are on the street - wine and good service from a family restaurant with Romanian background. We will return
