Mr and Mrs Dassie and I popped into Wharf Street over a long weekend, knowing they were going to be busy, and they were. Not a problem to their Manager who set up a table outside and arranged drinks and took our order while we...More

On our 7 day holiday in Port Alfred we wanted to save the best for last.... What a let down!! We never got to experience it. On walking in we were ignored by the waitresses and waited to be seated... To no avail. We chose...More

I had the pleasure of enjoying the Chef's speciality 'Pepper Steak', a 300g chunk of prime beef, cooked to perfection and draped in a pleasurable, not overpowering, pepper sauce. The historic building, friendly staff and hands on Chef, Bram, makes for a most memorable visit!!🤙🏾

Awesome steak made by the Chef/Owner. The option of craft beer on tap is always a win. I've been here more than once and I will return again

Visited for lunch. We ordered the fish special of the day which was fresh Kabeljou (a type of cod). The fish was grilled to perfection and served with chips and a side salad, all of which were superb. The service was a little chaotic, as...More

Great atmosphere in an historic port side building with friendly and welcoming staff. Fresh produce, freshly cooked and good size portions, all washed down with a pint or two of craft beer brewed on the premises. What's not to like?! Best to book as very...More

I have often dined at this establishment and have enjoyed it. Our recent visit, however, proved otherwise. Upon entering the building we were not greeted and had to wait at the bar to receive service. Our waitron seemed inexperienced and, from what we saw, was...More

Description
The "Wharf Street Brew Pub" is situated on the historic Wharf Street in Port Alfred. It is housed in the oldest commercial building in Port Alfred completed in 1853. The decor is simple with pictures of old Port Alfred being the focal pointWe have micro Brewery attached to us and sell three of our own beers. Our food is a selection of Pub Style food like fish and chips, schnitzels and burgers ranging to freshly caught line fish, in house matured steaks and a host of other things in between. We pride our selves on good food and service so please pop in if only to sample our local brew, you might well end up staying for a bite to eat as many do after seeing our menu.
