About
To tu serwujemy tradycyjne, pożywne zupy, misternie lepione pierogi, lekkie i zdrowe sałaty.

After visiting the Shrine of Our Lady of Gietrzwald, wour group had dinner at Sielanka, which proved to be a delightful Polish restaurant. Our group of six each ordered something different from the menu, and we were all pleased with our selections. I had the pumpkin soup followed by grilled venison with mushroom sauce and potatoes. The service was attentive. I'd certainly return to this restaurant.

That was a big surprise!! Żurek soup just perfect. No artificial flavors, served in fresh bread bowl. Golonka also amazing. Karkówka will blow your mind away!! You can close your eyes and still gonna feel different flavors as specified in the menu. Big applause for head chef!!! He/she is rocking the place :)
Service staff very pleasant. I just would like to add some smile on their faces and then would be perfect.

Extremely delicious food, big portions and very polite stuff. Fish soup, duck with cherries sauce and polish dumplings highly recommended.

We were at this restaurant for cognitive purposes. We regularly visit facilities of this type in Warmia and Mazury.
We ordered hot drinks to warm up and were going to order a dinner dish.
Unfortunately, the service was very slow and uninterested in us. The drinks were sat on the counter and the clerk was engaged in a conversation with another person. After the intervention, we received the ordered hot drinks. Not once during our stay did the staff ask if everything was OK, as is the case in other places, or ask about further orders, even though we announced further orders and kept the card to choose meals.
At one point there were 6 service people at the counter and still no interest in us.
In the end, we didn't order main courses.
Based on this visit, I can confidently say that the restaurant lags behind the average in the region in terms of service quality.

We went to Sielanka with a group of friends, one of them was strongly recommending this place because she is visiting this place on regular basics since 10 years.
My first impression was that this place is somwhere in between "karczma" style and elegant restaurant not knowing which way to go. On one hand traditional polish dishes on the other hand a bit of plates decoration and smaller portions from year to year. Famous fish soup was just ok. Burger was too dry, french fries poor taste and cold, "okonki" - not crispy and to fat like the frying pan was too cold.
On top of that waiters are not experienced. Not taking the right care, not informing upfront what dishes are sold out.
And the most surprising was ....we asked to have soup split for two plates. Which was a standard service before as our friend informed us. We found out that the kitchen can't fulfill our request?! No answer why. Just because. Dear Sielanka, in the age of customer centricity such stupid decisions? I prefer Karczma Warminska on the other side of the road with experienced staff and longterm vision.

It is suprising place, because completely unlike other wayside restaurants and bars. Menu is a mix of tradition and some fusion style. I took quite traditionally - beef burger that was really good. But the best for me was starter - fried chanterelles (mushrooms). My wife took dumplings with blueberries and "chłodnik" what was vegetable beetroot soup served cold. It was also very good. The place is very nice for children, with two small ponds and little farm with pony, billy-goat and donkey. For sure we will come back there.
