Enjoyed the chicken and fries at this hyper local place in the middle of Monteverde. We had two chicken plates and one empanada which cost $15 total.

We ate here several times during our stay in Santa Elena. It serves some of the best roast chicken we have ever had !. Its just a little hole-in-the-wall place across the street from Vargas Store in the main square. They have a nice sit-down...area or you can take it to go. Very reasonably priced and fresh and fast. Highly recommend !More
The chicken here is delicious: the seasoning, the way it’s cooked, the hot sauce. Highly recommend for a quick and casual meal.
Eat with the locals. If you like chicken... this place is for you. Our favorite dishes were the Chicken and Fries and the Chicken and rice which is kind of like a fried rice mixed with ricearoni type flavor..ha. It was super good. Pricing here...is LOW. So much food for the money... and fast... eat here with some locals. Order at the counter. Take your plates back to them when you are done. We ate here twice and enjoyed it both times. When you are getting the portion meal you either get a leg and thigh or a breast and wing...of course you can also order an entire chicken and share it.More
Came here to eat because we were tired of the touristy food options here and this looked like a place where the locals eat. The food was so delicious and very reasonably priced. We came here twice during our visit! The chicken rice and empanadas...were great.More
Although it looks like corner side shack, this place has amazing food. It is run by a single man and you can tell that the locals Love it. I ordered the rice and chicken and thought it was amazing and it’s really cheap. I would...definitely recommend going here. I came across this place by accident when I was waiting for the treehouse restaurant to open up. But I am so glad I choose this oneMore
This unassuming establishment was a true jewel. We were warmly greeted at lunchtime, and communicated our order of 4 chicken plates (with drinks and dessert for $25 USD!!) We sat at a high table under an umbrella and dug into some of the best chicken...of my life, with the accompanying casado sides. It was very enjoyable to watch the street life of Santa Elena, neighbors greeting each other, even a lady who brought over her own dishes for her meal. Take a moment to enjoy the culture in this great place.More
I've had a LOT of rotisserie chicken in my life and this it definitely one of the best. Love the vibe here too. Super friendly and warm staff, lots of locals but also lots of friendly visitors. Best restaurant I've ate at during my Costa...Rica tripMore
This place is simply delicious. Perfectly juicy, flavorful chicken roasted fresh every day served with homemade corn tortillas, beans and rice and chimichurri made from scratch… doesn’t get much better than that. Oh and do not skip on the fresh horchata! **This review is written...by an LA foodie FYI so my standards are very high ;)More
Great taste, best value for money! Cold drinks and nice cross chicken dishes! 2900C for tasty fries with a decent portion of chicken!
The menu offers several sides to go with your chicken. We chose the salad, such a tasty dinner. If you are looking for a soda to try while visiting Santa Elena, I recommend Raulito’s.
The prices are really cheap 4-5$ to taste real good chicken. Its an easy way to get a snack or lunch before or after an activity.
This is the kind of restaurants costa rican city’s need to have more... home made fast food... delicious
This restaurant seems to be mostly take-out but there is also an option to be served while you sit on a stool around the building. We decided to eat there and ordered the chicken and fries meals. The service was quick and the food was...absolutely delicious. The chicken reminded me of Swiss Chalet (for my fellow Canadians reading this). It is a good option if you are wanting to support a local business while eating something that tastes like home.More
