It was 20+ years that I discussed my first expat job in this restaurant. Now back for a short stay in Brussels, I decided to return and try it again. Stirwen met my highest expectation!! We got a table for 2 without reservation (but it...More

The restaurant was suggested by the Concierge of the Sofitel hôtel, just in the voisinages. We were very nicely received by the young & proosperous team of collaborators in the sevice. I am a difficult client, rather siad, à demanding one! I was enchanted by...More

Great atmosphere, food was brilliant and the service was perfect. A restaurant to keep in your address-book as it is a great experience. Worth a star. Of course the prices are a little higher than a regular restaurant but for the meal we had, is...More

A fun little bistro not far from the fountain with ample drink choices. I thought it was great for a snack or dinner. The wait staff were attentive.

This comment is not about our place. Stirwen is a fine dining restaurant, not a snack nor a bistro, and there is no fountain in the neibourghood. This review must be about an other place.

Simple and elegant, you have a good dining atmosphere with tables not too close to each other which is better than most of the restaurants in this area. Waiters here give you personal attention with great service. The ingredients are fresh and of good quality....More

Business dinner for 6 on a weekday. Not too busy, but the very friendly staff struggles to keep up with the guests initially, but recovers quickly. Amuses and food are very good and in line with the price. Good wine list, with an interesting choice...More

My friends and I opted for the 4 course "surprise" dinner with matching wines. The "amuses" were excellent; service also very good, but sometimes , etc. The 2 appetizers were wonderful; the 2nd wine was a delicious chardonnay, but it didn't go so well with...More

This is a true little find in Brussels. We enjoyed the 4 course menu and were offered two amuse-bouches, sole munière, tartare of oysters and fish and some of the best pigeon I have ever tasted. Add to this an impeccable and friendly service and...More

I ate here only twice with the new management, while I came a bit more often with the previous cook. Nothing to complain about the food, it was excellent and still it is – I must say it has maybe even improved the past performances,...More

Welcome to the Stirwen!
To cook, to host, to satisfy...Our principle is based on our passion for gastronomy.
In Brussels, at the heart of the Jourdan area, in the shadow of the European institutions, the Stirwen restaurant is a place in which well-eating rings as a gentle melody.
Such is our philosophy: regional and seasonal cuisine, respectful of the product, portioned generously, a bond between tradition and inventiveness. A cuisine right in its time, right in its place.
Refined in professional chic, you will find yourself in a comfortable and elegant decor. The restaurant lends itself to any opportunity, from the business lunch to the long table.
For your function, professional or private events, we provide you with a private dining room upstairs.
