I have visited this restaurant many, many times over the past 10 years. I am not too sure if the original owner Kerry still owns this place, but I feel like it it not as amazing as it once was :( The food now is just ok. The past three times I have ordered I have received the wrong order... More

Wonder place that reminded me of an old fashion dinner. The surprise is the food is absolutely wonderful. Be prepard for a doggy bag unless your really hungry. The portions are HUGE. Friendly staff with an infectious laugh that will have you laughing along. A must try!

My wife and I came here for lunch on a Sunday in late February. My wife ordered lasagne and i ordered the liver and onions. The lasagne was good but it came with garlic bread that tasted like it had been treated with a rancid spread. We told our server about this at the end or our meal. She tasted... More

Ate lunch at Lazy Loon and it was delicious! My sister and brother in law recommend this restaurant to us. I don't like fries much but these were so delicious! I told my husband they were just like the fries my Grandma used to make. The sandwiches were delicious.....I got the Vermont and my husband got the Algonquin.....we split them... More

My wife and I visited here for the first time in many years seeking comfort food. Although the ownership had changed since we were there last we found the decor was still charming but upgraded and the menu still had a wide variety of favorites like fish and chips and upside down shepherds pie. I had the Algonquin Club. Can't... More

Had an absolutely wonderful meal and experience at the Lazy Loon with friends. Totally enjoyed the French Onion Soup and Fish and Chips Dinner but saved the best for dessert. They make the best Bread Pudding I've ever had. The visit was made extra enjoyable due to our server Theresa who was absolutely hilarious and could easily start a second... More

Always a wide selection. One of my favs. My husband and daughter don't necessarily like it, so I will often go alone. Nice decor, friendly staff. Large portion, good value for money, although it is not cheap.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years. Today (Sunday) was probably one of the most disappointing visits. Our server took our order promptly but the food took forever to come out and when it did it didn't seem anything like the menu description.

My friend and I dropped in for lunch and I decided on the salmon cakes with a greek salad. It was very good. My friend had the Baked Potato Soup with a salad and remarked how tasty the soup was. We don't eat often here but every time we have dropped by for a meal it has been very good.

We eat here with some frequency. The food is always appetizing and the service is prompt and friendly. We have never been disappointed. A real bargain is the 777 deal after 7:00pm on week nights. There are several choices of meals for $7.77. If we feel like eating out on the spur of the moment, our choice is usually the... More

Description
The Lazy Loon Restaurant And Ice Cream Bar was established on April 28th 1998. The home cooked meals and amazing hospitality has been the reason of the Lazy Loon's longstanding success. The current owners Jack Mourtzanos and Jacqueline Langan together bring 20 plus years in the hospitality industry and are both local residents of Fonthill. Come in and enjoy our secret battered fish and chips, our famous bread budding with whisky sauce (also sold at Fonthill Giant Tiger), or cool down with our multiple flavors of ice cream. We offer two private lofts for corporate events, large parties, or group functions. Come in and relax in our cottage like atmosphere and let us take care of the rest.
