We went to this resto around 9PM Sunday night without reservations. They managed to seat us after about a 5 minute wait. The place was packed but the staff were attentive, informing and very friendly. We started sharing amongst the 3 of us with the Charcuterie Plate and Scallops. Wonderful assortment on the plate and the scallops were done just... More

A delicious Sunday brunch , the quality of food is superior the service relaxed yet attentive with variations to he menu , a non issue . It's not surprising it's been around for so long and always full . There sister restaurant lox stock around the corner is equally as good , with the best Ruben pastrami bagel anywhere to... More

The service was good and the food fantastic. We opted for the Snapper special but the steaks appeared huge. Prices were reasonable. Tables are small and too close together and the noise level was high.

For weekend lunch menu, grilled scotch fillet is always my favorite; berry smoothie is yum and good value too; dinner menus come with surprises a lot of times; I like that brown sugar creates its special menu from time to time.

We tried our luck the 1st night but the place was fully so I booked 8:30pm, Friday 5th evening. We booked an outdoor table as we came with our 3 children. Clearly a local Favourite and we waited 15´ for our table and 45´ for our food but really worth it ! Great tastes and ingredients, main dishes & desserts... More

This wasn't a bad experience, nor was it a great one. 4 men for a Sunday lunch for a catch up after 20 years. It was busy, but we had booked and our table was ready when we arrived. The food, I thought was reasonably priced for Bondi, I had the Scotch Fillet sandwich which was, again, average. The others... More

If you are after a simple meal, stay away. This place offers dinner combinations that are surprising, unusual and beautifully blended. The restaurant is small, so book earlier as it gets packed and noisy. The friendly service matches the cheerful atmosphere. There are daily specials but honestly the regular menu does not need to be supplemented - it's great already.

Some of the best hash browns in Sydney. Go early to beat the crowds and to get a parking spot . The pace is a tight squeeze for tables and offer shared seating at the main table

I was introduced to Brown Sugar by a Bondi local and had no expectations. My first visit got me hooked on their consistently outstanding food delivered in the perfect mix of friendliness and faultless efficiency. My only difficulty on visiting Brown Sugar is whether to go with something new from there excellent menu or stick with my old favourite of... More

Lot of hype about their breakfast. Was less than impressed. Ordered some poached egg dish with asparagus and truffle oil. Eggs were overcooked and covered in some greasy crumbs of some nature. Asparagus were greasy. No truffle in the dish at all. Bread was cold. All round a shocker dish. Wont be heading back in a hurry.

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
