From the valet parking to the ambiance, the extensive dessert table, the staff...it was truly a great afternoon. The food was simple but interesting and very tasty, well presented and filling. It was in no way same old same old, for the first time in a long time i found food that excited me.

Tides is blessed with a superb seafront location a little way down the beach from the Sandpiper hotel. The service and dining room are first class, and the food is good without ever reaching greatness. Catering very well for it's target demographic the standard of food falls a long way shy of an ordinary meal in London but is very... More

Went to the Tides for my best friend's retirement lunch. We had booked in advance but not been told by the restaurant there was a mother's day set menu special. Nonetheless, the food was good if rather expensive and our waiter was absolutely first class. Half way through lunch, my friend (who had retired from being a chief nurse some... More

Currently on holiday in the island and went past The Tides - we knew it was closed for a bit of work bu had no idea of the scale - basically knock down and start again! Bumped into Guy and he says Tides will reopen early August - basically still a shell 18 June but he is confident - major... More

Located near Sandy Lane it offers a wonderful menu. You are almost on the beach and the constant rush of the waves gives it a wonderful feel. The staff are attentive the setting supreme and the service as good as anything in Mayfair. It is a must if you are staying on the West Coast. Simply wonderful.

We dined at Tides twice during our visit .. Fabulous cocktails, varied menu for fish lovers, carnivores and vegetarians. Prices are fairly high however it is well worth it and the service was excellent. Highly recommend the Kung Fu Girl white ...

As we were staying next to this restaurant we definitely wanted to try it. The food was very good, especially the teryaki beef salad. Desserts were fine but no wow factor. As the evening went on the level of service diminished and we waited longer for attention. I know it's petty, but at these prices you shouldn't have to pour... More

We had a lovely dinner at Tides and everything was delicious. But what was most special was the Seafood Tower for 2 which we shared between the 3 seafood lovers easily. We had booked last minute so we were unable to get a seaside table and had a rather small table for 4 and had a space problem. We had... More
