We visited for lunch and were a little disappointed. We haven't been since it was re-vamped and the new look is amazing but the rest just wasn't as good. It was not very busy in the restaurant and there were only a few of us, but we struggled to get the service we would have expected. When we did, the... More

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Tides for Sunday lunch. This was the first time about 3 years that I had visited and was really impressed with the new decor - modern nautical chic! I really love that they do not do the typical buffet lunch that you find on the island. They had a 2 or... More

this was definitely the most 'upmarket' experience we had during our stay however the excellent service made us feel relaxed and the food didn't let us down. The starters of seafood ravioli and prepared oysters were excellent and the main courses were also very good. Excellent dessert and a lovely bottle of Chablis - what wasn't to like!

Excellent food in an exquisite modern jewel of a restaurant facing right on the beach. A very civilized and memorable dining experience.

Good to be back for another couple of dinner bookings. Improve ements are really good and reception particularly welcoming . Table close to sea is a must let alone adjacent to tree trunks into which the restaurant is built. Food, service, atmospher excellent. Tarpin fishes' sightings are a bonus in the ocean facing our table. Booking again for 2018 ?... More

We have not been to Tides since they renovated it and we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the place looked. We decided to travel there for the price fixed lunch and were not disappointed. I had the Tuna appetizer and a hamburger (best I had in Barbados), others opted for the Pork, the fish and the tuna wrap as... More

On a recent trip to Barbados, we visited Tides. My friends had been before and rated it highly. We didn't have a reservation but arrived at 12 on an overcast mid week day hopeful that we might have a table right on the ocean front. We were told no even though there was no one else in the restaurant at... More

It was our wedding anniversary and they decorated the table with sparkling beads and at the end of the meal brought out a chocolate cake with a sparkling firework. Lunch was a two course fixed price (either start and main or main and dessert). Very nice staff, service and food.

Wife booked Tides for my birthday. We went lunchtime to take full advantage of the view of the sea (I think we had the table in the picture). It has a pulse-quickening, understated elegance, favoured by the glitterati and well-heeled (apparently Jeremy Clarkson was just up the beach, but fortunately he didn't pester us.) Food is exquisite although I must... More

We visited Tides in March 2017 for dinner. We were seated at a table adjacent to the boardwalk and ocean which made the occasion memorable. Listening to the waves added to the experience. The menu is varied but leans towards sea food. My wife ordered the scallops and I had the sea food stew. Both dishes were excellent. Well prepared,... More
