Four of us have just returned from here today. We went for Saturday lunch. The eating area was quite busy but there was no wait for a table. We had two scampi, one cod and a sea bass. All the meals were huge and very...More

I regularly both eat and drink in this pub. I am the worlds biggest skeptic of special offers and bargains.....Not so with the 'Steak and a pint for a tenner' offer that the owners Carl and Margaret have on at the moment. Amazing value for...More

Took my dogs in, but weren't really made to feel welcome. Maybe small ones are OK. Food looked good. Maybe next time, we'll go without dogs.

I took my Mum for a nice quiet meal out. This pub always works very well. Really friendly staff with a good sense of humor. Lots of choices. The Haddock was superb and so were the ribs. Excellent beer too. What more could you ask...More

The pub/ restaurant lies in a very pleasant rural location in the Chiltern Hills above Chesham. There is ample parking at the rear. The entrance is into the 'pub area' with a fireplace and L- shaped bar. Dogs are welcome and so are their owners....More

What a lovely review , thank you so much.

This is the sort of pub I do not like. Ambience and garden are fine, but my heart always sinks when you see a very long menu, which means the freezer is employed. Food was poor, clearly from freezer, and service was slow.More

So sorry that you didn't like our pub. I can only imagine that the so called slow service was because we were busy, otherwise that would not have happened . As far as the freezer issue that you have , I would like to invite...More

Visit here quite regularly. Particularly enjoy the Sunday lunch.....lots of vegetables as well as meat. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Lovely outside seating area, especially in the summer.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch today. Roast lamb for hubby and sister, turkey for me and smoked haddock for Mum. My only complaint would be there was too much veg! Puddings were also great, two chocolate puddings, one banoffee pie and a special order...More

Visited the pub for lunch with my husband, haven't been there for a couple of years. Not much has changed. Still massive menu, still heaps of tasteless salad accompanying most of meals. I had Cajun chicken burger, off Specials board. Soo dry, over cooked, like...More

Julie, what a shame after some good reviews you have left such a negative one. Perhaps you should have told us about your issues at the time then we could have rectified your meal. If asked for mushy peas we could have obliged, paper pots...More

The greyhound in Wiggington is not too far away and serves good food and has a decent garden. Best to book for the evening though as it gets rammed!
