The service was average. The food was average. The mean was expensive for what we got. Couldn't wait to get the bill and leave.

We went to Lamaro's Bodega for a Friday night dinner with two other couples with whom we regularly dine out. The girls stressed that it had to be in the "entertainment" book as all three couples buy the book each year. The other reason for our choice was that we were able to ask for a table in a quiet... I dined with some locals who said Lamaro's used to have an amazing schnitzel that they've taken off the menu....it needs to come back. I struggled with this menu for 4 men. The share food was OK and the service ok but very basic, offering no real dining experience. Interesting that they don't even serve chips as a side dish... More

Staff were lovely but food was way below average, if you like food that is warm when it should be hot and it felt like the food actually came out of a can or packet.

We had the feed me option. Food was really good but the desert was nothing to write home about. Had to just about stand up and yell to get service - getting a water refill took forever. Mains arrived but salad and spuds arrived 10 or so minutes later. Were there on a Saturday night and reckon it was light... More

Lunched with 12 female chums at LAMARO's and it was wonderful. Every dish selected was rated "delicious". I love this place! LAMARO's Bodega is a small, classy bistro style hotel with a delightfully different bill of fare. Good service from unobtrusive staff, decent wine list (needs more Victorian wines), and a bill of fare which alters every few weeks -... More

Sitting by the fire set the scene for a cosy ,Deliscious dinning experience. The steak was melt in your mouth with amazing flavor as were the tiny potatoes. The service was delightful and helpful without being in the way. Would highly recommend this venue for casual or fine dinning as it as separate dinning areas for special events as well... More

Lamaro's has a warm and intimate ambience. Fabulous for ladies lunches and dinners, specially during the cold winter months. I've been a frequent visitor to Lamaro's for years, but since the refurbishment, the menu has been expensive and in my opinion, low on serving sizes. Whilst the peppers may be considered a new treat for some, they are not a... More

The atmosphere excellent, food very interesting and tasty but the wait staff extremely lazy. We were seated by one of the female staff and then left to wait and wait and wait until we asked if we could order a drink . Entree came out quite quickly , but then another long wait for main course followed by yet another... More

This was the first time I'd been since the renovation. The menu is great and very different. The Argentinian ribs were good but the real hit was the rockling. Good wine selection with some interesting Spanish whites. Good craft beer selection. The service was excellent. Just a really pleasant lunch. Thanks
