Ochoa is very much worth the visit. Once you understand how to order (The two of us had a "single" each then shared a small and a large platter) be prepared for a real treat, The food was superb, the service excellent and the plum wine was great. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

I generally prefer wine but go with a Japanese beer to complement the delicious dishes that are always delivered by this perennial suburban favourite. If you are staying in the city, it is probably worth jumping on the 109 to the Kew Depot and walking across the road. The Uber or taxi fare is better spent on an extra dish.

Went here for dinner based on recommendations from friends. The restaurant has a pleasant, well spaced interior and noise is reasonable despite the restaurant being almost full. Food was beautiful, service was quite good, but the wine list is very limited - of course, you can bring your own wine, which we'll do on our next visit.

Our preferred style of dining with friends is Tapas Style - share everything, lots of different tastes, textures and all discussed along the way! There was lots of oohing and aahing over our dinner on Sat night! Starting with the salmon canapé, oysters three ways (yum esp the Yuzu sorbet), the Scallops (to die for!), prawn balls, zucchini flower, soft... More

Lovely evening of food and wine in a very pleasant atmosphere. Nice sharing style banquet menu which there were 2 choices both based on price. Max was $100 a head. If you are prepared to spend this then add wine and it was about $150 a head. There are obviously cheaper options but this was deluxe.

This is 5 star and I don't give That rating often. We couldn't fault our meal and service at Ocha last night. This is seriously good Japanese food.. Sashimi, sushi, prawn balls, beef and chicken main courses and dessert platter. Ocha is licensed with a range of good wines but you can BYO if you want... $5 corkage. All in... More

Ate here last night. We let the chef decide what to feed us and we received Hokkaido oysters, green tea soba noodle salad, crab tempura, sushi and sashimi platter and beef wrapped in lettuce. The food was so fresh and really tasty. For desert we shared the green tea meringue and the yuzu citrus tart. Amazing. $120 after entertainment card... More

ate there with family for birthday. Extremely busy, full house plus turning tables. Service was a bit stiff and i think they were a waiter short as getting drinks and ordering at times was slow. Food really good and its great to go and find something different. We shared most every dish. BYO which is great, allows you to pull... More

This restaurant never fails to impress. The food is made with attention to detail, exceptionally fresh produce, bursting with flavour. I've dined here with friends and also as a couple and always walk away knowing I'll definitely return.
