14 adults and 4 children early morning Saturday birthday breakfast. Despite a pumpkin festival the staff at Apley Farm cafe went above and beyond to help my husband organise my 30th birthday breakfast with the family. The staff brought out the orders and patiently waited whilst we figured out what we had pre ordered. They kindly continued to serve us... More

Went for a cup of tea and bowl of chips while waiting for my wife, waited at door until someone saw me and then led all the way to the back of the café(I was on my own and in t shirt and tracky bottoms) I was then left while the waiter who seated me seated two other tables and proceeded... More

I visited the cafe yesterday with my wife for breakfast as we have done so many times in the past, I enjoy the Apley breakfast and she has always liked the Apley Egg (now called Lord Hamiltons Eggs). We were a little late arriving as we didn't get there until 10:40am, but didn't see this as a problem as breakfast... More

We visited the farm shop as a weekend craft fair was advertised. However, on arrival it was clear that the event was just over the Saturday not the weekend as advertised on all their leaflets and posters. However, as we were there we decided to stay for coffee and cake as we had arrived a little late for lunch. On... More

The Creamery Café is based in a little complex consisting of purveyors of various new-age therapies, a large, well-stocked farm shop and pens containing baby animals. Plenty of seating indoors in a nice airy building and loads of outside seating too in the sheltered courtyard. We visited on a day when most of the staff were busy running backwards and... More

Yet again another hour waiting for wifey (she's off having reiki) so sitting waiting to have tea. They've changed the way you are seated, you now have to wait until they notice you and ask you for how many?anyways that done on to tea and cake a lemon drizzle offering which looks ok from here. Update not enough lemon flavour in... More

Dropped in on the way back south after a trip to Chester. Great lunch, Mediterranean vegetable tart with salad even though it was nearly 3 pm by the time we got there.

Came here with my mum having visited and been thoroughly impressed last summer Oh dear. Has the chef changed? Big palaver initially with unlocking a gate so that I could visit the outdoor cafe with my dog (strange system!!) then encountered a slightly chaotic seating system at the cafe. Menu was disappointing as was the food. I was served horribly... More

Lovely little farm shop. Staff are always so helpful. The home made pies are a must! Nice coffee shop on site along with some little shops and a plant centre. Lots of things for kids to do as well.
