Next to the station and very popular with walkers, cyclists and runners. Outside seating in front, in sun, and at back where bikes are safe but can cool too much in shade. Full selection of breakfast options and substantial lunch available. Coffees, teas and cakes very popular. Very friendly staff and there are some cycle spares but no tools unfortunately... More

Called here one Saturday morning. Busy with walkers and cyclists. Had B.L.T. Served on fresh, tasty wholemeal bread. Delicious! That isn't O.T.T. About a simple sandwich. Some providers of food to the public couldn't care less about what they are selling, and can even ruin a sandwich. Lovely home - made soup. Cakes looked good too! Puts certain pubs in... More

Penny Pot Cafe is nestled away by the surrounding picturesque countryside. It is located near the train station so its a good choice for passengers as well as bikers, hikers, ect in the area. The cafe has good cakes and teas. They even do gluten free! Sandwiches are generous in filling and use good quality ingredients. I love how they... More

Came here part way through a challenging day hike for a bite to eat and a sit down. The toasted sandwiches are good quality at a fair price and come with an unexpected side salad and slaw. There's no WiFi so if that's what your after try the Nag's Head up the top of the village. Very friendly service with... More

Called in at mid day after quite a long walk and had very nice soup, toasted sandwich and drinks in this friendly national trust café. The menu is quite basic and only seemed to be 2 staff but it was fine. Maps, guides for sale, kiddies area, great stop for walkers, bikers etc. Had earlier looked in at the other... More

Stopped off during a walk up to Kinder Scout. A good range of cakes and good coffee. Maybe I'll try a bacon sandwich next time - they seemed very popular!
