After a wonderful walk alongside Horner Water, listening and watching beautiful woodland birds, there is nothing better than a cream tea at Horner Tea Gardens. The scones are so light and complemented by the jam and thick delicious cream. The staff are friendly and helpful.

A year since we were here and the scones are even better! 2 fruit scones, jam and cream with tea for under a fiver! Brilliant. We left our table for 10 seconds after leaving and the chaffinches were already tucking into the table crumbs........a traditional tearoom, lovely atmosphere and so, so, welcome after a long walk.

We had spent the morning walking along Chetsford Water in beautiful sunshine, knowing the proximity of the Tea Gardens we soon were parking in the NT car park. A family visit with our daughter and grandchildren, and the dog. A very warm welcome and good choices which were kindly modified to suit the children. Service was lovely and the food... More

We visited yesterday, on a very busy sunny day. Unfortunately, it appeared that a member of staff hadn't turned up. We ordered two jacket potatoes and two hot drinks. The drinks took half an hour to arrive, but it was busy. However, the jacket potatoes took an hour and twenty minutes. There was no apology, and no indication when we... More

We went there today as the sun was shining and it was like the middle of summer. Plenty of parking in the NT car park close by. We shared a cream tea and it was delicious. We live in Devon, the hub of the British cream tea industry, and I think I can say the scones are probably the best... More

We have had many cream teas over the years in Somerset but this by far beats them all. Totally delishous, outstanding service, huge scones, gorgeous and ample clotted cream and strawberry jam. Beautiful tea garden with lots of birds to see. Great walks nearby, we will definitely be returning as soon as possible 10 out of 10
