First visit to restaurant at dinner time with our family. The staff was friendly and food good. Recommended place for family visit. We really liked athosphere there...Nice relaxed, food lovers restaurant...

Got there by accident. Absolutely brilliant. The salmon soup, lovely. The service fantastic. The wild boar was succulent, just superb. I want to know how the beetroot cakes are made, they are fantastic. Went back again, and look forward to going back.

We had our family dinner here and were positively surprised. For anyone looking for a restaurant that isn't too fancy but isn't fast food either Obelix is a great choice. Casual, very good service and the atmosphere was very warm and pleasure for ears as...well since it wasn't too noisy nor quiet. Especially the starters and desserts were top notch!More

This restaurant has a good reputation, many recommend it as the best place in the town. So our expectations were high, especially as we know the restaurant from its former history and its good food from our earlier visits. We had a table reserved and...after entering we thought that somebody comes to show us to the table but no. A person went hurrying by us and said: " go ahead up the stairs and you'll find it". We all six were a little astonished. At the table the service was ok, not especially friendly but fluent. The food (chicken) was well done but nothing special and so not quite worth the value. The house wine we had was very strong and a little bit bitter and it was actually not suitable for chicken.More

Hyvinkää is a nice city, but it doesn't offer much in the terms of cuisine. This is pretty typical of any middle-sized Finnish town, of course. Obelix is a nice, freshly different exception. They serve comfortably familiar food with a twist of their own, and...the atmosphere is great compared to the stuffy, worn-out interiors of their competitors. I'd bring a date here. The food is warm, it's nothing spectacular but it's still delicious enough, the portion size leans toward the larger end of the scale so you won't have to leave hungry. The staff is friendly, but they know when you leave you be and let you enjoy your food. The restaurant is large, and has always been clean, near spotless, in my experience. The staff also seems to know their menu very well and can recommend dishes.More

The restaurant was cozy and atmospheric. Service was friendly although not very fast. Food was very good and portions were rather big. Also the quality of the ingredients was good.

It impressed me many years ago in its former location. Now they have a new place, quite picturesque, but food does not match it. Not bad at all, but value for quality not worth it. Starter (salad) very scarce, no work on it at all....Main course (chicken) not bad, but it was swimming in a lot of sauce which ruined any attempt to get the flavour. Service was fine, but the ambient music toggled from nice jazz tunes to awful dance songs. Chaotic.More
