Visited twice recently for lunch. Had soup and toastie/Panini combo. Just alright, feels like it is just rushed onto the plate though. Cullen skink the first time was great, tomato and basil the second time wasn't good. Thick lentil-like soup that didn't taste much of anything let alone tomato or basil. Good menu selection and nice views over the beach/sea.

I arrived at around 11.30. I was seated quite quickly and got my first order taken. Bearing in mind I finished my tea by 12 and it was very quiet I was some what disappointed when I didn't get looked at for over an hour while waiting for another drink. The price of the tea is good but not very... More

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our various requests. Actually, the staff and the place's relationship with the local community is probably the best thing about this place. Neither me nor my friend managed to get on the WiFi (password worked, it just failed to connect). The chairs and tables were pretty uncomfortable if you needed to sit... More

Not a bad place to pop for a light quick lunch. Toilets were OK. Menu was good and plenty options for children. Staff chatted between themselves rather than giving customers full attention. Cake selection limited but tasty. On a windy day the door opening causes the temperature to plummet briefly.

The Waterfront was recommended to us, so we decided to give it a try. Slightly odd layout, reminded me of a dated hotel dining room. We ordered 2 large lattes, a bacon & egg roll & a bacon & sausage roll. If that was large lattes I wouldn't like to see the small ones / really small cups ! My... More

Took a group of friends for lunch today. Been to the Waterfront many times over the years and have had no complaints. Today was no exception. The place was busy but the nice waitress put two tables together to accomodate us. Several of us had the fish and chips. The fish was battered to perfection, great chips and plenty salad... More

Came in this morning with 2 friends for coffee and it was lovely. We sat at a table looking at the sea. We all loved the coffees and cakes. Service was good but someone came to take order only about a minute after we sat down so we asked for more time. But overall it was a great visit.

Reasonable prices and fast service. Amazing haddock fishcakes. What you'd expect from a cafe close to the sea. Great outdoors eating area. Great for those summer days. Family friendly cafe, complete with kids play park, swings and a chute.

My wife and I stopped in Stonehaven on Monday August 1st and had lunch in the Waterfront Bar. The service was quick & friendly, the food was good & excellent value and there was a friendly atmosphere from the staff and other customers. I thoroughly recommend it.
