A delightful lunch and personal attention from Lorenzo. The prosciutto at Bagatto's is my favourite in San Daniele.

I firstly came to this place ten year ago, when they were still preparing tagliolini with prosciutto and pickled vegetables were home made. Since then, year after year quality has progressively worsen, from prosciutto itself to pickled vegetables (now canned ones), while portions became smaller and smaller. This year they also opened a new wide porch, as they are increasingly focusing on quantity (and increasing tables turns) then quality and customers obsession. History of a gem place transformed into a cash cow business...

Maybe the best Prosciutto Crudo I ever eaten in my life. Main dishes are all prosciutto based, from appetisers to first courses. I suggest to taste prosciutto crudo, pickles and cheese appetisers. Good wine selection. Great quality and service. There is also a shop where you can buy many local and high quality products.

Well I was a bit surprised by the Dante inspired sign but food wise the greeting is correct.
For the lover of San Daniele ham (a little bit saltier than Parma ham) there are few better places than Bagatto.
Founded in 1961 they offer their own cured ham, a wide selection of cheese and some local wines. Salame, Speck and other cured hams are also sold.
The quality is outstanding.
The slices are paper thin.
They also offer vacuum packed sealed trays of 5 to 10 slices which will last for weeks until opened.
Mozzarella from Friuli has a different taste from the mozzarella from Campania or Puglie.
Most definitely worth the visit.
We also had lunch there eating prociutto (what else??), some different cheeses and prosecco.
Truly excellent and worth going back to again.

Read the reviews we decided to stop at this place for the tasting that there was not even proposed to them for the time. Closing at 7pm, we arrived at 6.15pm. Reception and service disappointing to say the least, little choice in the shop, very questionable cleanliness (cobwebs on the railings, showcase cured meats with consistent moisture) and price in our opinion high for 4 spit of cheese we ate. Never paid a blanket of 2€ each for an aperitif. Never again

On the list of producers of S.Daniele we called this company for the plant visit and tasting. Everything is great. Welcome, professionalism 'and tasting of the excellent homemade ham. Would stay again. I still have the morbidity of ham in my mouth with a heady scent.

A plate of ham with melon, cheeses and small side dishes: a delicious light lunch.
Don't forget the matching white wine

Magnificent, well-kept and bright place. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We ate excellent raw ham, burrata, cheeses of various ages and vegetables in oil. The shop is full of goodies.

Very nice prosciutto factory, rather small, enjoyed a short tour with the boss. Then lunch, everything was fine.

We arrived by chance in this place that we didn't know and we were pleasantly surprised and welcomed with great professionalism and courtesy. We felt like at home. We were paid attention to everything, we were well advised from the wine to the tasting of typical products. We have never eaten so well and above all we have never felt as welcomed and pampered as we do here. As for the top quality raw ham that I'm sure I'll never find in other places again. We will definitely return and I definitely recommend it to everyone....go and live a pleasurable experience 😊

We were looking for a ham factory to buy some ham and take advantage of a relaxing lunch break after returning from a business trip.
We found it by chance among many and it turned out to be a more than right choice.
Enchanting place, unforgettable ham and various side dishes, and a treatment of courtesy and attention to the customer that is not easy to find.
And after lunch we stocked up on ham in the adjacent shop, although I hope to go back to eat there soon, it's worth it!
