I've never been to a Romanian restaurant. In fact, I've never eating Romanian food. But a friend drove us up yesterday to Ema Traditional Romanian Food. The place is located in the basement of a mall that seems rundown and old. The eatery is set up like an extension of someone's home kitchen. Peaceful atmosphere. It says, "you are here to eat and to enjoy'. The food was interesting and we enjoyed it. Not Kosher and I could not recall the difficult names. But the kabab was good and so the cheese+corn flour thingi. We had a war desert of donut and cherry which was heavenly. Good place for food lovers.

The place is small but very quiet and family friendly. The portions are big and very-good tasting. Best restaurant in Ma'alot!

Very nice place with good food

The food ia verry good, the place is small and family run, but it's intimate and the food is authentic. A must try are the mititei and the papanasi.
