This little gem is brilliantly placed for while your rummaging around Battlebridge. Serving food and drinks that can also be drank / eaten outside, weather permitting.

Visted with a friend after seeing an extensive Gin menu on a previous visit. Was not disappointed! We were served by Emma & Charmaine throughout the evening - both ladies were super friendly, knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. We had fun sampling their...More

Just a lovely, lovely pub. We were there today for lunch and the food was amazing. Huge portions and made fresh to order. Staff are attentive and polite, nothing is too much trouble. We sat outside in the sunshine and we didn't want to leave....More

Used to be good. Now they can't even rustle up a decent ploughman's. Miserable triangle of cheddar, lettuce soaked in mayonnaise, half a tomato, bit of soft bread. Eat in the cafe above the antique centre. Better food and better value.

Had dinner here, nice old pub in good location at Battlesbridge. Food good, generous portions and reasonable prices. Interesting clientele, lively place to be!

Staff friendly and service good. Dry Rose sweet and syrupy. Cesear salad very disappointing, croutons stale, chunks of chicken processed and dressing not to a great taste. My dressing with my salmon and dill burger could also have been a better quality .

If you are hungry and like good food you cannot go wrong here. Large portions of whatever you order. Very enjoyable. Service good and not intrusive. Well worth a visit.
